The SLC system comprises control and monitoring modules as well as specially equipped safety actuators for fire and smoke extraction dampers (BRK and ERK) and smoke extraction dampers with venting function (ERK-K). It was developed at that time to be able to realize more than just the control and monitoring of the limit switches for the motorized safety dampers mentioned. In the SLC system, the damper actuators are supplied with voltage by the respective module, the control commands are transmitted, their execution in the specified time and the correct functioning of the communication are monitored. All this is realized via a 2-wire line between the module and the actuator. An extra power supply for the drives is not required. Furthermore, scenarios for the case of fire can be realized. The integration into the building control system is realized via potential-free control and signal contacts or, if an interface is available on the module, via MODBus. The modules report the status of the associated actuator via LED displays. In case of malfunctions, a message is sent to the building control system. A test run of the drives can be triggered directly at the module or via remote control from the control center.
